Course structure

  • 6 live online sessions

  • Sessions take place once every two weeks

  • Intimate small-group format (2–3 participants)

  • Time between sessions to practice independently

Who this is for

  • Beginners with no prior experience

  • Those who want to wear kimono independently

  • Those who have tried before, but struggled alone

  • Anyone drawn to Japanese aesthetics and mindful practice

  • Those who bought a kimono but don’t know where to start

Kimono dressing is both technical and physical.

It requires not only understanding, but repetition—
and small, often subtle adjustments.

The two-week rhythm between sessions gives you time to practice independently, return to the process in your own space, and notice where questions arise naturally.

Live online sessions provide direct guidance while allowing you to practice comfortably from home.

The outcome

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Dress yourself in kimono

  • Understand how to adjust and refine your form

  • Feel confident incorporating kimono into meaningful moments of your life

You will gain a familiarity with the process.

Continuing the Practice

Learning to wear kimono does not end with understanding.

It deepens through repetition—
through returning to the process, and noticing what you like each time.

For those who wish to continue, you will be invited to join a regular online practice circle,
where we dress together, explore variations, and refine what you have learned.
